The Central Wales Waste Partnership (CWWP) is a partnership between Ceredigion and Powys County Councils.
Both Ceredigion and Powys are committed to recycling, composting or treating as much of the region’s waste as possible and are working together to find new and sustainable ways of dealing with waste and reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.
The CWWP has been concentrating on dealing with the food waste produced in the region and has recently awarded a contract to Agrivert Ltd to provide these treatment services. More information about the food waste treatment project can be found on the procurement page.
The food waste treatment project was part of the Welsh Government’s Waste Infrastructure Procurement Programme
The partners are now exploring other opportunities for working together in waste.
